She new it had been a gamble from the start. Having her old 1916 player piano shipped to Oregon from Alaska was a big decision. It had been in her family since 1972. The many years of listening to old time music with her family were some of her fondest memories. Then, came the awful news. The piano had been damaged during shipping, possibly beyond repair.

Now, after a year of waiting, the day was here. She had spent a small fortune having it rebuilt. Tears filled her eyes as the piano tuner unveiled her newly transformed piano. His fingers danced across the keyboard and she heard that sweet sound once again. Her old friend was home at last and the photographer captured the moment.
